What is Horus Heresy

The Horus Heresy, sometimes referred to as the Age of Darkness, was a galaxy wide civil war for Terran that lasted for 9 Terran years.

Fully 9 out of the 18 Space Marine Legions were corrupted by Chaos and turned against the Emperor of Mankind. Primarchs fought against Primarchs, brothers against brothers, and set fire and war to the worlds of men across the Galaxy.

For those were the last days of legend, when the Emperor and His sons, the mighty Primarchs, strode forth to war, when the dominion of Mankind spread across the galaxy and none could challenge our might, the last days of a golden age long since consigned to dust by the actions of one man.

Why is this hobby so popular?
This is a major storyline that took place 9,000 years before Warhammer 40,000 and continues into 40,000.

Introducing more miniatures and vehicles in various Legion colours, this gave us even more tactical space marine models to choose from.
